Andy McLaughlin, Group Managing Director, is set to raise much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation whilst taking part in one of the toughest mountain bike rides in the UK early this summer.

Andy will cycle, alongside his friend Mark Warne, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Land Securities and fellow Tough Mudder accomplice, on the beautiful South Downs Way National Trail this July in this off-road event all while testing his mental and physical endurance levels as he sets to raise funds for a charity close to his and MIS’ hearts.

Andy said: “I’m more of a runner than a cyclist, however I’m always up for a challenge, and I am keen to do some more fundraising in 2019, so this seemed like a great way to do both. Reading that I have to endure 100 miles and nearly 4,000 metres of climbing, all in one day, has made me a little nervous now though.

“I’m hoping the beautiful scenery and the sense personal achievement upon crossing the finish line will drive me forwards in this ride of a lifetime. BHF does some priceless work across the UK and as always, these charities need support and fundraising drives to complete their projects and tireless efforts. I hope whatever I raise helps the charity in some way achieve it this year.”
