whg, with a new IT team at the helm, decided its processes needed a digital overhaul and turned to MIS AMS to bring its technology up to date.

“When I joined whg I quickly realised that the systems in place were in need of modernising. However, before taking any steps towards a more digital way of working, I wanted to experience first-hand how technology was currently being used across the workforce,” explains James Elliott, IT Solutions Delivery Manager, whg.

“Due to us having multiple in-house systems at whg it was quite a complex task to decide on how to move the business forward digitally. We took time to understand the landscape and how technology could benefit the daily workings before defining our approach. Luckily for us, the team at MIS AMS were with us at every stage and took time to understand our business and played a vital part in mapping out the transformation ahead.”

whg began its upgrade process in May 2017 and worked alongside the close-knit team at MIS AMS to gauge the requirements of the business change and how its most recent version of its one data source system could simplify processes and enable more efficiency.

James continued: “Last year we began our upgrade and started to modernise our approach. These changes have provided much greater integration across the group and increased mobility in the way our teams work. With us now having one central store and access for all departments we can also provide a better, quicker and more efficient service to our customers.”

Since upgrading, whg has now begun talks with MIS AMS to expand its working relationship.

James ended: “This was always going to be the first step in digitising our processes, so we are now working with MIS to bolt-on more of its products. We are already about to go live with our customer portal and we’re trialling others, so we will have more exciting updates to talk about very soon.”
